Scan Global Logistics (SGL) will strengthen its market position in Europe's largest logistics market, Germany, by adding the Top 50 ocean freight forwarder ETS Transport & Logistics GmbH (ETS) to the group. The partnership will add scale and commercial muscles to SGL's German organisation, especially within ocean freight. The combined organisation of more than 100 experienced logistics professionals will significantly strengthen the global freight forwarder's position in the German market.

A perfect partnership for global expansion
ETS was founded in 2002 with headquarters in Bremen. The company operates a branch in Hamburg and two fulfillment warehouses in Gudensberg and Neu Wulmstorf, adding substantial commercial resources and significantly improving SGL's geographical imprint in Northern Germany.

The transaction is subject to anti-trust approval in Germany and the acquisition will be finalised shortly after receiving the approval from the authorities.
The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
