Panasonic is promising long life from a range of surface-mount aluminium electrolytic capacitors. 1210 Plcc 2 Leds
The parts span 10 – 680µF, 6.3 – 50Vdc and come in radial cases from 6.3mm in diameter and 7.7mm tall to 10mm dia and 10.3mm tall.
Operation of the capacitors, dubbed V-FH, is across -55 to +105°C and life at maximum temperature is 10,000 hours in all types, except those in the smallest (6.3 x 7.7mm) case and those rated at 50V which are both rated for 7,000 hours.
Amongst the 35 different types currently available, ESRs are between 150 and 750mΩ, riple currents are from 300 to 850mA and tanδ is 0.14 to 0.32.
Applications are foreseen in smart lighting products, IT equipment, infotainment systems, as well as heavy industry.
