Such is the unusual, deconstructed floorplan of the £2 million ($AU3,866,000) house, there is even an "entrance room".

The design takes tradition and breaks it down, separating each room by dramatic "skeletal glazed walkways", framing countryside views in the town of Moreton Paddox. READ MORE: Chef Gordon Ramsay's real estate confession: "We were stupid, and we were skint"

All rooms have been "...raised slightly above ground, creating the illusion of a floating series of interconnected rooms", the listing, on the books of British agency The Modern House, explains.

The owner and seller Steve Smith worked with BPN Architects on the startling design.

Some of the highest median house prices in Australia are in Sydney's eastern suburbs, where Vaucluse commands $8.55 million, Rose Bay costs $5,1550,000 and Mosman lands at $4.9 million, all leapfrogging the price hopes of this extraordinary design.

The opening statement at Invisible House is the "entrance room" with a black resin floor and a full glass rear wall looking out to established gardens, illuminated by a vertical strip lights to draw the eye to the woodland view.

"External façades on each elevation comprise smoked mirrored panels of glass with a delicate three-millimetre gap between each pane," the listing says.

"The pavilions are cantilevered from a piled core, meaning the building looks as though it is hovering above the ground. The façades reflect the surrounding environment to dramatic effect, blurring the boundary between the pavilions and the landscape."

From the entrance room, the new owner can turn south and venture down a walkway that connects to the kitchen and dining room or, spin north, and walk along the glass corridors that lead to three of the four bedrooms, each in its own segment.

The largest of the bedrooms is in a separate area, through the kitchen/dining and living room beyond.

The living spaces are finished in crisp white, to contract with the tonal depth of the walkways and entrance.

The property is for private sale as a freehold, a category of ownership meaning the buyer will also acquire the land.
