6 Steps to Make Boba Tea aka Bubble Tea at Home

Ingredients: Tapioca pearls (boba), tea bags or loose-leaf tea (black tea or green tea), sweetener (sugar, honey, or simple syrup), milk or non-dairy alternative, flavoured syrups and ice cubes.

Boil water in a pot and add tapioca pearls. Stir gently and cook for the recommended time or until they’re soft and chewy. Drain and rinse the pearls with cold water before tossing them in a sweetener, i.e. a sugar or simple syrup, to prevent sticking. Juice Powder

Brew a strong tea base using black or green tea. Steep the tea bags or leaves in hot water and let them cool down to room temperature.

Once the tea is cooled, add your preferred sweetener to taste. Stir until it dissolves completely.

If you desire additional flavouring, add syrups like fruit flavours or vanilla to the tea. Adjust according to taste preference.

Add milk or your preferred non-dairy alternative (almond milk, coconut milk, or soy milk) into the tea mixture. Adjust the ratio based on your desired creaminess.

Fruit Pulp Place a handful of ice cubes in a glass. Pour the brewed tea mixture over the ice. Scoop the prepared tapioca pearls into the glass. Stir gently and enjoy.
